The Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) test provides a comprehensive 90-day overview of blood sugar control. Unlike daily fasting glucose tests which fluctuate, HbA1c measures the percentage of hemoglobin coated with sugar. A result below 5.7% is normal, 5.7% to 6.4% indicates prediabetes, and 6.5% or higher indicates diabetes.
