What is USG TVS (Transvaginal Ultrasonography)?
Ultrasound of the uterus, ovaries and pelvic structures. This scan uses high-frequency sound waves — no radiation — to produce live images, so your doctor can see the area in detail.
When is this test advised?
Commonly requested for irregular or heavy periods, pelvic pain, suspected fibroids or cysts, and while tracking ovulation during fertility treatment. Your doctor decides whether this specific study is right for you.
What does it evaluate?
Uterus and endometrial lining, ovaries and follicles, and the pelvic soft tissue around them.

How to prepare
Pass urine just before the scan — this study needs an empty bladder, which is the opposite of a routine pelvic ultrasound. No fasting is needed. A slim, covered probe is used internally, the scan is brief, and a female attendant is present throughout. Tell our team if you are pregnant or might be. Please bring your prescription and any previous scans or reports of the same area.
